At Lees Primary, we aim to spark a lifelong curiosity and love for science. Our engaging curriculum encourages children to ask questions, explore the world around them, and develop a deep respect for both living and non-living things.

Through hands-on investigations and progressive knowledge-building, children learn key scientific concepts and develop the skills to observe, experiment, and explain with confidence. Working Scientifically skills are embedded throughout, enabling pupils to think critically and make sense of their findings.

Our rich local environment provides exciting opportunities for outdoor learning and discovery. From habitats and plants in Key Stage 1 to the human body, light, sound, and electricity in Key Stage 2, pupils build knowledge year-on-year, making meaningful connections and applying what they’ve learned to real-world contexts.
