History

At Lees, we aim to spark a passion for history by offering a rich and meaningful curriculum that brings the past to life. Through studying different civilisations, eras, and local heritage, children learn key values such as democracy, equality, and respect.

Our curriculum includes important topics like slavery and the suffragette movement, helping pupils connect historical lessons to current issues. We also make the most of our local area, exploring the history of Haworth in our locality. 

We celebrate history through events like Black History Month and Remembrance Day, helping children understand the past and its impact on the world today.
