Modern Foreign Languages (French)

At Lees, we promote inclusive communication through daily use of oracey, especially in KS1, helping all children feel supported in expressing themselves. 

In KS2, children learn French, developing key communication skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Our language teaching fosters curiosity, builds confidence, and lays the foundation for future language learning. Pupils also explore grammar and language structure, helping them understand how languages work.

Our goal is to make language learning fun, accessible, and a valuable part of every child’s education.
