Parents and Carers
Uniform

All children are expected to wear the school uniform to a high standard when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours. This reflects their pride in being part of our school community, and is important preparation for secondary school, and beyond that, the workplace.
Further details can be found in the Uniform Policy

Hair, Jewelry and Make-up
- Children should be well-groomed at all times.
- Children may wear a wristwatch and one plain silver or gold stud can be worn in the lobe of each ear.
- Smart watches are not permitted
- No other piercings are allowed, and must be removed. They must not be left in and covered with plasters.
- No make-up, nail varnish or permanent or temporary tattoos are to be worn.
Uniform Vouchers
Vouchers are available if you claim free school meals based on benefit entitlement (but not R-Y2 Universal FSM scheme). These are usually distributed within the last term of Summer.
Uniform Exchange
All schools within the Brontë Academy Trust operate a used uniform exchange to support families and promote sustainability. This service is available at PTA and many whole-school events; between these times, please feel free to contact the office at each school, where staff will be happy to assist you.
In addition, Oakworth Primary has secured funding from the Co-op Community Fund and is currently in the process of developing a permanent used uniform shop that will be accessible to all families within the Brontë Academy Trust.
